Repainting of Walls – Eagle Project

A warm mahalo to our community volunteers who, in conjunction with a Boy Scout Eagle project, repainted many of the exterior walls along our central covered walkway.  Thank you for spending your Saturday afternoon to engage in acts of service.

Engage & Innovate Comic Book Art Workshop

Join us for our next Engage & Innovate Workshop on Tuesday, October 16th at 6:00-7:00PM in our cafeteria.  Mr. Chris Koanui, a local comic book artist, colorist, and creator of the Nightmarcher comic book, will share with our students how he draws comic book characters and will share some drawing tips with our students.

No prior character drawing experience is required, just an open mind and a willingness to learn and to use your imagination.  Developing visual arts skills is one way our students can become better communicators.

Online Registration Period will be from Monday, September 17 – Monday, September 24.

Students will be notified via hardcopy by September 27, 2018, as to whether they were registered given the limited number of spaces available.

Desktop Hydroponics

For our first Engage & Innovate series workshop of the school year, we had a STEM night that featured our students making their own desktop hydroponic kits with the partnership of Hardware Science/Ben Franklin Stores.  Our students planted basil and we hope their green thumbs yield healthy plants like the one in the above photo.  Go Cobras!

Recycle Drive Success

Thank you to all of our parents, students, and families for supporting our first HI-5 Recycle Drive of the school year.   We had one of the biggest drives in recent years and would like to thank our parents, students, and staff for helping to sort and bag the plastic bottles, cans, and glass.  Great job Cobras!
